Spirituality, Love and Community in the Church Fathers
What ideals of life together motivated early Christians, and on what beliefs about God and his relationship with human beings did they depend?

This study day aims to look at how Christians expressed their ideals in worship, in theology and spirituality, and in the day-to-day life of monastic communities.

The main speaker for this day will be Dr Graham Gould, a specialist in the study of Early Church monastic communities.

Speakers
Dr Graham Gould was formerly a lecturer in theology at King’s College London, and is the author of ‘The Desert Fathers on Monastic Community’ (OUP).

Russell Jefford has recently completed an MA in Patristics (Early Church history), runs www.EarlyChurch.co.uk and sees much that is inspirational and relevant in the writings of the Early Church Fathers.
